Yakira's Introduction

Hi! My name is Yakira Johnson. I’m an English major with a creative writing minor and working toward the Certificate in Publishing here at NDSU. I’m originally from Dickinson, North Dakota, but now I live in Fargo while I’m working toward my degree. I’m in my third year of college and this is my second year of being involved with Northern Eclecta. Last year I was a part of the PR team, but I am a part of the Editing team for this year’s edition, and I’m excited to get more experience with this part of the publishing process. I am working toward being a published author in the near future so these skills are valuable to me. I am the Secretary of the English Honor Society on campus and love all things literary. I’m excited to see all the submissions for this year’s theme. And in relation to the theme, my favorite legends are anything to do with King Arthur and Camelot.
