March 19th is the last day we're accepting submissions for Northern Eclecta's theme this year of "Legends." The legends we're looking for don't have to be fiction. The legends you can base your creations on can be real people. Is there someone you know who you look up to? Who inspires you? Here are some writing prompts to get you thinking about people that motivate you in everyday life:
Make a list of traits that this person exhibits. Pick one trait from the list and write about a time when this trait has been beneficial for them or for you
Write about a time when this person's words or actions demonstrated strength or resilience. How did it impact you?
What's a valuable lesson you've learned from their example? How have you applied this to your own life?
If you could pick one quality of theirs to have as your own, what would it be and why?
What are the key things you admire most about them and why?
How have they encouraged you or helped you to achieve your goals?
In what ways have their experiences made you think differently or look at the world in a different way?
How do you hope to live up to their example?
What is the most important thing they've taught you? Do you still use this lesson in your life? How?
What kind of legacy do you think they're going to leave?
