A Young Author's Inspiration Story

Hey everybody! My name is Jack and I’m a member of the Social Media team. I know many people have a singular event or point in their life where they discovered their appreciation for writing, and I’d like to share mine with all of you. In 2017, I was invited to Minnesota’s Young Authors Conference in Thief River Falls. The day was full of visiting various local authors and learning every writing skill you can imagine from the very best. William Durbin, author of “The Broken Blade” was absolutely my favorite and even complimented the work I wrote during my time with him. Getting this compliment from an author of his stature was terrific for my eighth-grade self and really pushed me to pursue writing more. Fast forward to today I’m participating in the production of Northern Eclecta and having a blast doing it!
